Billing Terms

Last updated: 24 September 2026

These Billing Terms explain how plans, add-ons, taxes and payments work on OpenORDO. They form part of the Terms of Service. For refunds, see the Refund Policy.

1. Plans and pricing

OpenORDO is priced per clinic (and per location for multi-location groups), not per feature. Every plan includes patients, appointments, billing and records. The plans differ in scale and support.

How to read this table

  • Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) for customers in India, and in US Dollars (USD) where offered for other regions. The currency is set from your clinic's region at signup and shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Annual billing may be offered at a discounted rate. The exact monthly and yearly prices for your currency are always shown on the pricing page and at checkout, and that displayed price applies to your purchase.
  • The plan names, prices, limits and feature lists are maintained live in our system. If the pricing page and this table differ, the pricing page at the time of purchase prevails.
  • Amounts shown are exclusive of taxes unless stated.

2. Add-ons

Add-ons are separate from plans and available on any plan, including Starter. A plan never includes an add-on automatically.

Each add-on may be offered as a one-time purchase, a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a combination. Its price in INR and USD for each option is shown on the Add-ons page in your dashboard (and on our website) before you buy. We set that price per add-on and may change it for future purchases.

  • One-time add-ons: paid once, access does not expire, no renewal.
  • Monthly and yearly add-ons: renew automatically each period until cancelled. Access continues until the end of the paid period, then the add-on lapses.
  • On/off switch: you may switch an add-on off in your dashboard without cancelling it. Switching off hides its features but does not stop billing. To stop billing you must cancel a recurring add-on.
  • Complimentary grants: OpenORDO may grant an add-on to a clinic at no charge (for example for a demo or support compensation). A grant carries no payment obligation and can be withdrawn by us on notice.

3. Free plan, trials and promotions

  • Starter is free with no card and no contract, with the limits above.
  • Promotions may give your clinic free access to a paid plan for a limited number of days. When a promotion ends, your clinic moves automatically to our default free plan unless you have chosen a paid plan and paid. No card is required to redeem a promotion that says so.
  • We show an in-app notice in the days before a trial or promotion ends and may email you.
  • Only one promotional offer may be redeemed per clinic, and offers cannot be combined or exchanged for cash.

4. Payments

  1. Payment processor. Payments for plans and add-ons are processed by Razorpay. You pay on Razorpay's secure hosted checkout, and manage cards, invoices and cancellations in the Razorpay customer portal linked from Settings. OpenORDO does not see or store your full card number.
  2. Billing owner. The Clinic Owner is the billing owner and is responsible for payment.
  3. Authorisation. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method for the plan or add-on price plus applicable taxes, until you cancel.
  4. Payment methods. Methods available depend on your country and Razorpay (for example cards). We may add or remove methods.
  5. Invoices. You receive a receipt or invoice from Razorpay for every successful payment. Invoice details (legal name, address, tax number) are taken from your billing profile; keep it accurate. OpenORDO also keeps a payment log for reconciliation.
  6. Card and bank fees. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or card issuer, including foreign currency fees.

5. Taxes

  • Prices exclude GST and any other applicable sales, VAT or similar taxes. For customers in India, we charge GST at the rate that applies at the time (currently 18% on software services) and issue a tax invoice. - For customers outside India, we charge local taxes where we are required to, and you are responsible for any withholding or other taxes you must pay locally. If withholding tax applies, you must pay us enough so that we receive the full amount as if there had been no withholding.

6. Billing cycle, renewal and proration

  • Plans and recurring add-ons bill in advance at the start of each monthly or yearly period, starting on the day you subscribe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for another period at the then-current rate unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Upgrading takes effect immediately. Any price difference for the remainder of the current period is calculated by Razorpay and charged or credited as shown before you confirm.
  • Downgrading or switching cycle takes effect as shown in the billing portal, usually at the end of the current period. See Section 8 for what happens to limits.
  • We send a renewal reminder before a recurring add-on's period ends, and may send reminders for plans.

7. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we or Razorpay will retry it and email you.

  1. Your subscription is marked past due. You can fix this by updating your payment method in the billing portal.
  2. We may limit access to paid features after a reasonable grace period if the payment remains unpaid.
  3. If the payment is not made, your paid plan is cancelled and your Clinic moves to the free plan; a lapsed add-on's features revert to unpurchased state. Your data is not deleted because of a failed payment.
  4. We may suspend a Clinic that has repeatedly failed to pay after notice.

8. Plan limits and downgrades

  • The Starter plan is limited to 200 active patients and one doctor login. Paid plans have the limits shown above. The Service prevents adding records beyond your plan's limit and prompts you to upgrade.
  • If you downgrade to a plan with a lower limit than you currently use, we do not delete existing data. You cannot add more of the limited item until you are back within the limit or you upgrade. Extra doctor logins beyond the allowed number may be deactivated until you choose which ones to keep.

9. Price changes

  • We may change plan and add-on prices for new purchases at any time. Changing a price creates a new price for future signups; existing subscribers keep their current price until they switch plans or the subscription is cancelled and repurchased.
  • If we intend to raise the price of your existing subscription on renewal, we will notify the Owner at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the renewal date.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid plan or recurring add-on at any time from Settings → Plan or via the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. One-time add-ons cannot be "cancelled" as such; they remain available unless refunded under the Refund Policy or removed for breach of the Terms.

11. Disputes and chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, please email support@openordo.com within 60 days of the charge so we can fix it. Please contact us before starting a chargeback. Where a chargeback is filed for a valid charge, we may suspend the account until it is resolved.

12. Non-payment and collection

Amounts not paid when due may carry interest at the lower of 1.5% per month or the highest rate the law allows, and we may recover reasonable collection costs. Suspending or terminating a Clinic for non-payment does not remove the obligation to pay amounts already due.
